FALL 2010 - BACK TO SCHOOL SECURITY UPDATE

BACK TO SCHOOL - FALL 2010

Welcome to our new and returning students and their families. We hope you had a safe and enjoyable summer!

Please remember to follow our Safety and Security protocol as we strive to maintain the highest levels of safety and security in, on and around our Temple Sinai and Jacobson Sinai Academy campus.

You will notice that we have recently engaged Bryant Security as our security provider for the TSND/JSA Campus. This is an effort to upgrade our security and to be coordinated with the Michael Ann Russell Jewish Community Center who also uses Bryant Security now that the bridge connecting our campuses is completed.

We ask you to review and obey the following:

  • All visitors to the campus, particularly to the school buildings, are required to check in at an office to receive a Visitor’s Badge prior to accessing the class room areas and camp areas. (THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR ALL PARENTS AND VISITORS)
  • Vehicles without decals and/or proper identification may be denied access to the campus. Vehicles without proper identification may be directed to alternative parking. NEW FAMILIES PLEASE VISIT THE SYNAGOGUE OFFICE TO RECEIVE A PROPER DECAL.
  • Obey all Police, Security Personnel, and Sinai Staff instructions – their first priority is to protect your family and to keep you safe.
  •  Follow all traffic rules and signage with diligence and respect.
  • Do not park in Reserved parking spaces or handicap areas unless you are authorized to do so.
  • Limit use of cell phones during drop off and pick up on campus.
  • Be aware of anything or any person that seems unsafe or unusual and report the situation to our Security Personnel, Police, or Sinai Staff immediately.
  • Do not leave valuables (cell phones, purses, etc.) in your vehicle on plain view. We cannot be responsible for break ins to your vehicle whether parked on campus or along the public right of way on NE 22nd Avenue.
  • We continue to operate under a “NO TOLERANCE” approach to the safety and security of our campus. VEHICLES MAY BE TOWED AND/OR DENIED ACCESS TO THE CAMPUS BASED UPON VIOLATIONS.

Finally, we welcome your input, questions or comments. Please send any questions or comments to one of the school offices or the synagogue office.
