Rachel Sarshalom

Rachel Sarshalom, MOT, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Florida in 2005 and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida in 2006. She is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. She has worked in pediatrics for close to 15 years in the acute care hospital setting, working with inpatients and outpatients, as well as the home and school settings. 

Rachel has acquired many specialties evaluating and treating a myriad of diagnoses such as: delayed infant milestones, hypotonia, prematurity, developmental delay, autism, sensory processing disorders, attention deficit disorder, coordination disorders, fine motor delay, visual motor difficulties, handwriting difficulties, gross motor delay, neurological injuries, orthopedic injuries, and genetic/ congenital anomalies. She also received several certifications. She is a Certified Handwriting Specialist, a hand therapy specialist, a therapeutic taping specialist, a Therapeutic Listening Specialist, among other certifications that she holds proudly. 

After dedicating many years in the hospital setting, Rachel founded Hands Up Therapy, which treats patients in the home or school setting across South Florida.

Steven Sanford

Steven Sanford is the owner and operator of The Children’s Center for Therapy and Learning where they provide Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapy as well as Tutoring and Reading services to children of all ages and abilities. 

Steven provides services in a variety of settings including clinics, homes, schools and community immersion programs. Providing services to children and their families is immensely gratifying. As an Occupational Therapist, it is his responsibility to assist his clients in reaching their absolute potential in whichever area of daily living there is a delay or limitation whether due to injury, illness or other. Steven has had the great fortune of growing up in Skylake and sending all 3 of his daughters to Temple Sinai’s ECE and Day School. Sinai is like family to him.

Mera Levin Treisman

Mera Levin Treisman is the founder of a concierge pediatric therapy company, Mera in mOTion, servicing children at home and in school throughout Miami Dade County. Mera graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale with an emphasis on Pediatrics and Mental Health. Mera shares her love for children through play, multi- sensory experiences, and skilled interventions shared with teachers, parents, and families. Mera strives to reach each and every child on his/her level with compassion and care. She specializes in early intervention, sensory processing disorders, gross motor and fine motor deficits, developmentally appropriate classroom skills, engagement in ADL’s (activities of daily living-self help skills), and most importantly, sensorimotor play. Her goal in therapy is to help her pediatric clients help themselves, no matter the barriers.

Jennifer Berkovic-Grossbard

Jennifer (Shani) Grossbard is the founder of Speech Solutions Therapy located in North Miami, Florida. Originally from Montreal, Canada, Jennifer currently lives in South Florida with her husband and three children. She received her Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University, is licensed in the State of Florida and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), the International Association of Oral Myology (IAOM) and the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology (AAPPSA). 

Jennifer has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient rehabilitation in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, public and private school systems, early childhood centers and home health settings. She has experience evaluating and providing treatment for expressive and receptive language disorders, feeding disorders, pragmatic language- social skills deficits, articulation/phonological disorders and orofacial myofunctional disorders. Shelley Farin

Dr. Shelley Farin SLP.D. CCC-SLP is co-owner of South Florida Speech Partners, LLC. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of Florida in 2005, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minoring in Education. She received both her Master’s of Science degree and Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Farin is licensed in the state of Florida and is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Farin is certified in Vital Stim Therapy and LSVT, and is able to speak conversational Hebrew.

Dr. Farin has experience working with both the pediatric and adult/geriatric population in a variety of settings. She specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders and feeding/swallowing disorders. Her areas of treatment include: fluency, speech production, receptive and expressive language, social skills and pragmatics, cognition, voice, resonance, feeding and swallowing, and auditory rehabilitation.
