Temple Sinai's Early Childhood Education Center provides a stimulating curriculum using developmentally appropriate materials, within a safe, secure environment. Acknowledging that each age and stage of development has its own integrity, our hands-on, creative approach focuses on the development of the whole child. Our goal is to provide a supportive and nurturing setting that encourages children to develop socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually at their own pace. Successful children feel good about their accomplishments and themselves.

An important goal of our early childhood curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners. We believe in encouraging children to be active and creative investigators who are not afraid to explore their ideas and thoughts. We strive to empower children to become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners, not just in preschool but throughout their lives.

Our school provides positive experiences in Jewish living with the celebration of Shabbat and the study of Jewish holidays through storytelling, music, dance, cooking, role-playing and arts and crafts. Early exposure to customs and traditions builds strong values and guides our students to feel, understand, live and love Judaism.

Our goal is to provide a supportive and caring setting that encourages children to develop socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually at their own pace. The Early Childhood Education Center of Temple Sinai provides a stimulating and emergent curriculum using developmentally appropriate materials within a safe, secure environment. When children are successful they feel good about their accomplishments and themselves. Within this setting, children are willing to explore challenging situations, interact with new materials and with each other.

We provide a program that focuses on the whole child. Each child is respected as an individual with specific needs to be nurtured. All classrooms are set up with activity areas that challenge the interests and cognitive abilities of each age group. Teachers encourage each child to make independent choices within the structured setting and thereby gain self-confidence. We see ourselves as an extension of the family. Parents and teachers work together towards a common goal to create an environment that nurtures and enables children to grow to their full potential.

We provide positive experiences in Jewish tradition through the celebration of Shabbat every Friday and the study and celebration of Jewish holidays through storytelling, song, dance, and arts and crafts.

All of our children participate in weekly Physical Education and Music classes taught by our specialists. In Physical Education and Creative Movement children utilize our excellent outdoor facilities using special equipment and implementing programs designed to develop body awareness and gross motor coordination. Through our Music Program children heighten their awareness of Hebrew and Jewish holidays culminating with weekly school-wide Shabbat celebrations. Our Cantor accompanies the children on guitar and with rhythm instruments. Music is a favorite part of our curriculum.
