Parent Resources

We can't believe Monday is our first day. We are so excited! It was wonderful seeing so many of you at our Parent night and Welcome Back morning.

As we get ready to welcome Shabbat I wanted to share with you the three areas that our faculty focused on over this past week. The first was Teamwork. We are dedicated to building teams that work together to make our ECE the best it can be. That includes the team of teachers in each learning community (TGS, PK2, PK3 and PK4); the faculty and staff team as a whole; and, of course, the team we want to build with you, our parents.

The second area of focus was celebrating our school as a child-centered program. Child-centered learning putting the child at the center of all that we do. Here's what you can look for in a child-centered program:

The third area was observation and documentation. In the next few weeks you will be receiving information about Seesaw, an app that will help us document student learning and keep you informed of all that your child is accomplishing. Using Seesaw to document student learning will help us tailor each student's learning to their unique strengths and challenges so that every child is set up for success. You can learn more about Seesaw below.

A few important reminders before Monday:

All children are required to have medical forms (#680 and #3040) in their files before they can attend school. Forms are available in your pediatrician’s office. If you haven't yet, please be sure to bring these forms with you on Monday.

Each child must have a copy of their Birth Certificate in their school file.

Please also complete and return all DCF forms and the emergency card you received at our Parent Night or Welcome Back morning.

In order to personalize each child's learning we need to know your children well. Please take a moment before the school year begins to sit with your child and complete our "This Is Me" survey. It shouldn't take too long and can be completed online HERE.

Please note that our After School and hot lunch programs will begin next week, Monday, August 26th.

Here is the special TGS and PK2 First Week Schedule:

Monday, 9-10am
Tuesday, 9-10am
Wednesday, 9-11am
Thursday, 9-12:15pm
Friday, 9-12:15pm

Please bring lunch on Thursday and Friday.
Napping will begin on Monday, August 26

Finally an important note about entering, exiting and parking at Temple Sinai. The ECE has a dedicated entrance and exit. Please use only this entrance and exit. It is located just south of the main entrance. Parking during the first week, especially on Monday, will be very difficult as BridgePrep is beginning that day also. If the lot is full, you can park on the side of 22nd Ave. When parking please be considerate and careful.

We can't wait to see your children on Monday! Have the most wonderful Shabbat.
